The Higher Sound is a diverse team of experienced and creative DJs, Selectors, and Event Curators.   Our passion is music, and we provide the best music for your event!

 

The company was birthed after we started noticing that our friends had a tough time finding great DJs for their weddings.  After talking amongst ourselves and relaying our experiences to each other, we realized we had an opportunity to provide a service.  We seized that opportunity, and The Higher Sound was born. 

 Our is mission is to provide exceptional music for your party.  We are not traditional.  The traditional DJ is kinda boring.  We do not play the same music for every show; instead, we are constantly updating our sounds.  We are not chatty MCs who tell jokes.  We do not haul in obnoxious lighting rigs.  We do have accent lighting that we can set up…   or not.  We can play the cheesy standards if you like.  But it's not our specialty.  That being said, we are humble servants whose mission it is to take your event to the next level, we are not ego-driven; we'll play anything.  It's your party, after all. 


OUR PRICES

We have put together a couple DJ packages for an easy quote:

The "Standard" = starts at $1600 (a single system for up to 300 guests) Includes Cocktail Hour/Dinner/Dancing.

SOUND SYSTEM:  

  • QSC speakers

  • Allen & Heath audio mixer

  • Shure wireless microphone for toasts/speeches (plus backup mic)

DJ SETUP:

  • Laptop + DJ Controller

  • Turntables (Technics 1200 M3D x 2) or CDJ’s (Pioneer XDJ-1000 MK2 x 2) available for an additional fee.

The "EXTRA" = starts at $1850 (a single system for up to 300 guests) Includes Ceremony + Cocktail Hour/Dinner/Dancing

The "Extra" is the same as the "Standard", and includes an additional sound system for the ceremony space.

FINAL POINTS...

Travel within 60 miles of the event location

  • DJ arrival approximately 1-2 hours before start time

  • If you have an event with more than 200 guests, please contact us for a quote.  

  • We are happy to play over the scheduled curfew - 

We realize that not every client wants the same thing, and may wish to tailor our services based on their specific needs.  These rates are not set in stone, but are rather an accurate guide to what you can expect.
